Replaced a devops hire
Five person startup, nobody wanted to own Kubernetes. Tidereach costs us about £900/month which sounds like a lot until you price a platform engineer. Preview environments per PR changed how we review code. Support answered a build cache question at 11pm on a Sunday, in twenty minutes, with the correct answer.
Support is genuinely exceptional
I've been in this industry fifteen years and I have never had support like this. No script reading, no asking me to clear my browser cache. First reply is always a human who has looked at our actual deployment logs. The platform itself is very good, the price is high, but the support is what I'd renew for.
Brilliant until the egress bill arrived
Loved the platform for eight months. Then we launched a feature that served video thumbnails and got a bill 3.4x the previous month. Egress is metered from byte one and the dashboard only shows you the running total once a day, so by the time we noticed we were three weeks in. They did work with us on it and set up an alert threshold, but that should be on by default. Docking two stars for that alone.
Deploys are boring, which is the point
Rolling deploys with connection draining, automatic rollback if health checks fail, certs renew themselves. I have not thought about TLS in two years. Price is steep and I wish the CLI had better offline docs but honestly these are small complaints.
We outgrew it
Great for our first two years. Then we needed long-running background workers with custom queue affinity and the platform just doesn't do that. Their answer was essentially 'run it as a web service and don't scale to zero', which works but felt like fighting the tool. Moved to raw compute in the end. No hard feelings, it's a good product for the stage it targets.
Thanks for the detailed feedback - we have passed this to the team and would like to look into your account if you can get in touch.
One bad incident, handled well
Their EU build cluster was down for about 3 hours in February and we couldn't ship. Running apps stayed up, which mattered. Postmortem was out in 48 hours and was unusually candid about the root cause being their own config change. I'd rather have that than the vague 'networking issue' boilerplate you get elsewhere.
About Tidereach Cloud
Tidereach Cloud is rated 4.2 out of 5 from 6 customer reviews on HostSerp.
A fully managed application platform where you push a Git branch and Tidereach handles build, deploy, TLS, and horizontal scaling. Includes managed Redis and Postgres add-ons, preview environments per pull request, and a 24/7 engineer-staffed support desk on all paid tiers. Positioned at the premium end for teams without dedicated infrastructure staff.

Tidereach is the closest thing in this category to buying an infrastructure department. Git push triggers a reproducible build, preview environments spin up per pull request without configuration, and the platform quietly handles certificate renewal, connection draining, and rolling deploys. Support is the standout: every paid tier reaches an actual engineer, and our test tickets came back with config-specific answers in well under an hour. Reliability over the past two years has been strong, with two notable incidents both promptly and honestly documented. The costs are the obvious objection. Tidereach charges a substantial premium over raw compute, egress is metered from the first gigabyte, and the add-on databases are priced aggressively. Teams that outgrow the opinionated deployment model also find the escape hatches limited, since custom networking and background worker topologies are constrained by design.
