Absorbed a 40 minute attack and I found out from the graphs
Someone booted our IP after a ban wave. Players never noticed a thing. I only saw it the next morning in the mitigation log, forty minutes, peaked somewhere around 90 Gbps. That one incident justified the price difference for the whole year as far as I'm concerned.
128-tick that actually holds at 24 players
We moved our scrim server here after two seasons of stutter on a cheaper host. The netgraph is boring in the good way even when both teams are in a smoke fight, which is the entire point. Setup took about ten minutes and rcon tooling was there out of the box. Only thing I'd change is I want a second Frankfurt node so we can run two matches at once without hopping between panels.
Wipe day with 340 pop and no rubberbanding
Rust wipe is the honest stress test and this passed it. 340 concurrent in the first hour and our own logs never showed server FPS below 55. Someone answered a plugin question at 2am in about six minutes. Expensive, but our admin team stopped getting yelled at in Discord, so it has paid for itself.
Hardware is elite, the panel is spartan
No complaints at all about the boxes. The panel though is very much 'here is a console and an SFTP link, good luck'. No scheduled task builder, no modpack list, backups are manual unless you write the cron yourself. If you know what you're doing thats fine. If you're nineteen and running a server for your friends you will be googling a lot.
Good iron, annoying invoice
The performance is exactly what they claim, I'll give them that much. But at renewal I was moved to a 'next generation' node tier nobody asked me about and the bill went up 34%. It took four days and two follow-ups to get a human to explain the change. Staying because moving 90GB of world data is worse than the money, not because I'm happy.
Thanks for the detailed feedback - we have passed this to the team and would like to look into your account if you can get in touch.
About Tickforge
Tickforge is rated 4.2 out of 5 from 5 customer reviews on HostSerp.
Tickforge rents single-tenant, heavily overclocked bare metal aimed at competitive shooters and large-population survival servers. Every plan is dedicated cores and NVMe with 128-tick CS2 configs and Rust wipe-day headroom as the default rather than an upsell, deployed across fourteen regions. There is no shared-node tier and no intro pricing, so entry cost is roughly triple the budget market.

Tickforge has made one decision and stuck to it: no oversubscription, ever, at any price point. In our load testing a 24-slot 128-tick CS2 instance never drifted off target, and a simulated 300-player Rust population held server FPS in the mid-fifties where most competitors were already rubber-banding. Mitigation is genuinely upstream rather than a null-route dressed up in marketing language, and attack logs are exposed to customers instead of hidden. The weak spot is the surrounding product: the panel is deliberately minimal, backups are your problem unless you script them, and there is no modpack library to speak of. Renewal handling also draws consistent complaints, with tier migrations landing on invoices before they land in inboxes. The right choice for esports orgs and large communities with an admin who knows Linux; overkill for six friends on a vanilla world.
