Great machines, do not order these in a hurry
Quality is not the problem here. Every box has been exactly what we asked for and the ECC reporting is properly wired into their monitoring. The problem is that "built to order" means eleven days on our last order, and that was after a quoted seven. If you can plan capacity a fortnight ahead this is fine. If you cannot, look somewhere with stock inventory.

Two years in, one unplanned minute of downtime
We moved our EU workloads here after a procurement requirement around renewable power. Expected to compromise on something and mostly didnt. Latency to Stockholm, Oslo and Frankfurt is excellent, the machines were built to the component list we specified including a specific HBA we needed, and their engineers pushed back on one of our choices with an actual technical reason. Uptime has been essentially perfect. Delivery took eight days, which is the honest downside.

Support that reads the ticket before replying
Small thing that matters enormously: when I described a suspected memory issue with the mcelog output attached, the first reply engaged with the actual output rather than sending me a link to a knowledge base article. Replacement DIMM went in the next morning. They are only really staffed during European hours though, so my colleagues in Singapore find them slow.
The colocation path is the real feature
Started with three rented machines, then took a quarter rack in the same hall and cross-connected to them. Being able to grow into owning your own gear without a migration is worth a lot and almost nobody offers it at this size. Remote hands are competent and they actually send photos of the work. The panel is dated but functional.
Wrong fit for us, not really their fault
Our traffic is 70% North American and we learned the hard way that two Nordic facilities cannot fix that. Transatlantic latency was consistently around 100ms and no amount of caching made the interactive parts feel right. They were upfront about this before we signed, I just didnt listen. Also had one build arrive with the wrong RAID controller which took four days to sort out. Good company, wrong geography for us.
About Nordhalle Metal
Nordhalle Metal is rated 3.9 out of 5 from 5 customer reviews on HostSerp.
A regional bare-metal operator running two hydro-powered facilities in northern Europe, with quarter-rack and half-rack colocation available alongside rented dedicated machines. Nordhalle builds every server to order rather than stocking inventory, publishes per-facility PUE figures, and offers cross-connects to customer-owned gear in the same hall. Support is in-house, in English and Swedish, during extended European business hours.

Nordhalle is a two-facility regional operator that has resisted every temptation to pretend it is a global cloud. What it does have is genuinely good: made-to-order builds with real component choice, hydro-powered halls with published PUE numbers that hold up, and the option to graduate from rented metal into a quarter rack in the same building without moving your data. Latency within the Nordics and to Germany is excellent; to North America and Asia it is exactly what geography says it should be, and Nordhalle says so on its own pricing page rather than hiding it. The friction is delivery time and support hours. Nothing is in stock, so a week of lead time is normal, and out-of-hours coverage is an on-call rota rather than a staffed desk - fine for planned work, less comfortable during an incident at 02:00 CET. For European workloads with a sustainability requirement, it is a very strong pick.
